Welcome to my Natural Hair Blog!

I have been natural for about 10 months and I absolutely love my natural hair. I am still learning about caring for my hair as it grows and although finding the right products can be quite challenging because they are not easily available in my country, I would say am managing my hair pretty well. I love wash and goes at the moment as my protective style, its easy and my hair is softer and easier to detangle now than when I first went natural. I will keep updating my hair journey and will share photos of my growth as my hair grows . Growing natural hair is not just about hair but about taking good care of your body as well, when your happy and healthy on the inside, it reflects who you are on the outside. eating healthy, drinking lots of water and regular exercise is also good for your hair. I feel proud and happy to be a natural and I hope you will be inspired by my hair journey . your hair is your crown, whether is kinky, nappy, curly, its yours and its beautiful.  Enjoy your Hair and love it Just the way it is!

 My Relaxed Hair Days!

I loved braiding or weaving my hair hair as my protective styling as it was easier to manage in between relaxer. However my hair i experienced a lot of breakage especially my hair line and each time i relaxed my hair it would always be shorter on my hair line due to breakage. as i said i never paid much attention to caring for my relaxed hair as it was easier to throw on a weave or braid till the next relaxer. I take more care of my natural and will continue to share my tips, my regimen and products i use on my hair.

when I dint have my hair braided or weaved, I would either wear it in a push-back or head wrap which I loved and would accessorize preeety well!

Beautiful summer, had micro braided hair for the holidays!

My hair was always shorter in the front due to breakage and it never grew much!

in this last picture I Big Chopped my hair but had it straightened again because I hadn't really thought about going natural and that was the last time I cut my hair before my next Big Chop in February when I decided to go natural!

My Transitioning Experience!

I began transitioning my hair when I decided to go natural and i transitioned  for about 4 months. Although i wasn't ready to BC, the challenge of dealing with two different textures and the headache from detangling  was too much for me so i started by trimming bit by bit until FINALLY I Chopped of all the relaxed hair and started with  a fresh natural TWA!

An old braid-out held in a puff!

Transitioning though challenging was a great experience and I did enjoy the twistouts, braidouts and the complements I got from friends about how nice my hair looked. If you don't want to Do the BC, you can chose to transition till you get comfortable with having natural hair length ur comfortable to start with. I will post some pictures about my BC soon.

MY BIG CHOP!!!

when I did the BC, I felt like a completely new person, i felt light and i could wash my hair as many times as i wanted and i loved the feeling of having my hair short! I was ready to go natural so bad comments dint bother me much! I loved the look and my Hubby liked it!

Loving my Twa! I washed my hair three to four times a week and moisturized with coconut oil and spritzing whenever my hair felt dry! Although my hair grows quite well, it shrinks a lot so when I do wash and goes it always looks as though I have short hair. I LOVED IT!
